Day 1 - To Hong Kong we come!!

After a week of intense workshops and preparation classes, and an interesting experience of the earthquake in class, we were told to assemble at the Airport, Terminal 1 at the Cathay Pacific counter.

I met up with Winnie to make our way to the airport as we stayed in the same area, all thanks to her and her parents, I managed to hitch a ride as my parents are in China, much less, themselves.

I was one of the few without any family members with me at the airport.

We had to wait for over an hour before our guide, Mr. 'Lao' Yao to show up and everyone was all ready to go by then. Jasmine and I helped in the taking of attendance and the issuing of our passports and boarding passes.

So off we go through the check-in counter, with all the large, small and all colourful lagguages and onto the plane we go.

So many of us wanted to fly SQ, but bo bian lah, school budget.

And in no time...

We were in Hong Kong International Airport! It's been over 3 years since I last been to Hong Kong, and like everyone else, I felt an air of anticipation as the plane landed.

Hong Kong!

We were greeted with our local Hong Kong tour guide (I forgot his name though). The weather was cooling, and cold for some. We quickly loaded our lagguages onto the bus and headed off to our first location, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

On the bus journey from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon, he briefed us on the weather conditions and the itinery during our 1 day stay in Hong Kong before we head off to Shen Zhen, China the next day for 9 days. He also told us about the tourist attractions and some history of Hong Kong, but most of us were too occupied with...

taking pictures! (Please ignore the 'No Smoking' sign, that's from the bus window)
More to come.
